No. Three Cedars is a training and consulting firm. We assess your security, design your program, and train your own people — including armed and unarmed safety team members — so the capability belongs to your organization, not to a vendor.
In many states, including Alabama, properly structured volunteer safety teams are common — but the legal details around armed members, permits, and liability vary by state and by situation. We help you navigate those questions as part of program design, and we recommend confirming specifics with your attorney and insurance carrier. A well-documented program makes both of those conversations easier.
We walk your facility, review your procedures, and evaluate your current posture — access points, response plans, communications, and the human side of security. You receive a written report that ranks your vulnerabilities and a prioritized, budget-aware plan to address them. The initial consultation is free and carries no obligation.
It depends on scope — a single CPR class and a full safety team program are very different engagements. Tell us what you need and we'll quote it plainly. No pressure tactics, no fear-selling.
Courses are taught to recognized national standards, and certification options are available for select courses such as CPR/AED. Ask about certification when scheduling and we'll confirm exactly what applies to your course.
No. We train from fundamentals up, and armed roles are only for members who meet the standards your program sets. Unarmed roles — observation, de-escalation, medical response, communications — are equally important to a working safety team.
Yes. We're based in Alabama and train organizations nationwide. Travel is scoped into the engagement — just tell us where you are.
Many insurers look favorably on documented security planning and training, and some offer incentives for it. Ask your carrier — and ask us for the documentation that supports that conversation.
